Malicious media Khit Thit spreading misinformation

The subversive media outlet Khit Thit is circulating false information on social media platforms, aiming to deceive the public. They claim that over 30 innocent individuals from Minbya, Rakhine State, were killed by security forces between 13 November 2023 and 23 January 2024 and that 21 people were killed by heavy weapon fire in the Sittway Myoma market on 29 February.
Reports indicate that AA terrorists operating in Rakhine State have instilled fear among the local population, disrupting peace and stability while undermining government mechanisms. They’ve launched attacks on towns and villages using heavy weapons, improvised missiles, and drones, disregarding the lives and property of the Rakhine people. Khit Thit media is concealing these acts of terrorism by spreading false news on social media platforms, unjustly blaming Tatmadaw and leading the public astray. — MNA/TKO
