Khit Thit spreads misinformation about military conscription in Naga area

G1

The subversive media outlet Khit Thit spread false news claiming that individuals with epilepsy, mental disorders, and those with only one eye are being enlisted for military service in the Naga Self-Administered Zone, including Nanyun, Lahe, and Leshi Townships in the Sagaing Region.
Khit Thit is spreading fake news intentionally to mislead the public, disturbing the duties of the officials of the relevant Committees for Summoning People’s Military Servants. Provisions outlined in Chapter 6 of the People’s Military Service Law state exemptions from military service for individuals with permanent disabilities and identify those who are deemed permanently unfit to serve in the military by the medical inspection board.
Therefore, malicious media deliberately circulates fake news on social networks to instil fear among the public and misunderstand the relevant officials. — MNA/TKO
