A total of 32 Myanmar U-19 footballers are currently conducting camping training for the upcoming international matches, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
Head coach U Aung Naing is managing the team, which was built with talented players from local clubs and various states and regions, starting from the year’s start.
Team Myanmar has been trying to build capacity for a long time. As a result, they won two friendlies and lost one against top local clubs, Shan United, Yangon United and Hanthawady United, in March.
The young Myanmar squad will also compete in the 2024 ASEAN U-19 Championship, which will be held in Indonesia from 20 June to 3 July, so that they will take special training during the Thingyan period. The team will also set a target for the upcoming U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
