AFC set new venue for Myanmar team’s Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has recently announced the venue for Group D of the 2022 AFC Women’s Cup Qualifiers in which the Myanmar Women’s Team are participating.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided to host the group stage in Kyrgyzstan at the Dolan Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, which is scheduled to be held from 18 to 24 October.
The group stage, previously hosted by Lebanon, was originally scheduled to take place from 17 to 23 September but was postponed by about a month due to a change in the host country.
Myanmar is falling in Group D together with the UAE, Lebanon and Guam.
The Myanmar women’s team is taking training for the tourney and football authorities will select the final squad just before the tournament.
Head coach U Tin Myint Aung is in charge of the team.
The Myanmar team will play against Lebanon on 18 October, Guam on 21 October, and the UAE on 24 October, respectively.
Some group matches from the AFC Women’s Cup Qualifiers have been completed and four teams: South Korea, the Philippines, Iran and Thailand have already qualified to the next stage.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
