ASEAN Football Federation plans to hold eight tournaments this year

The ASEAN Football Federation is planning to host eight tournaments this year, featuring participation from Myanmar football and futsal teams. These events include the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup, the ASEANWomen’s Championships, the ASEAN U-23 Championship, the ASEAN U-19 Championship, the ASEAN U-16 Championship, the ASEAN Futsal Championship, the ASEAN Beach Soccer Tournament, and the ASEAN Club Championship in 2024.
With the exception of the ASEAN Beach Soccer Tournament, Myanmar teams are set to compete in the other tournaments, and some teams have already commenced training. The ASEAN Football Federation has scheduled the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup from 23 November to 21 December, utilizing a home and away format. The ASEAN Club Championship is scheduled to take place from August 2024 to May 2025.
The ASEAN U-16 Championship is slated for June in Indonesia, the ASEAN U-19 Championship in July, the ASEAN Futsal Championship in Thailand in May, and the ASEAN Beach Soccer Championship in Thailand in November. The details regarding the ASEAN Women’s Tournament, including the date and host country, will be announced later. The ASEAN Football Federation will provide updates on whether the ASEAN Futsal Club Championship, the ASEAN U-16 Women’s Championship, and the ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship will take place. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
