Bangladesh’s naval vessel arrives at Yangon to deliver humanitarian aid

The Bangladeshi naval vessel carrying humanitarian aid arrives at Thilawa Port yesterday.

A vessel of Bangladeshi Navy, BNS Somudra Joy (F-28), carrying relief supplies and foodstuffs to provide humanitarian aid for the storm-battered areas arrived at MITT bridge in Thilawa Port, Yangon yesterday afternoon.
Chargé d’affaires of the Bangladeshi Embassy to Myanmar Mr ASM Sayem, the defence attaché of Bangladesh to Myanmar and officials, senior officers and officials from the Tatmadaw Navy welcomed the ship.
The ship carried a total of 120 tonnes of foodstuffs, tents, medicines and water-purifying tablets.
Arrangements are being made to deliver the relief aid to the storm-battered areas as soon as possible. — MNA/KZW
