Chaungtha, Ngwesaung hotels, guesthouses overbooked during Thadingyut Holidays

According to U Aung Thu Oo, Director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Ayeyawady Region), throngs of people are making reservations at hotels and guesthouses in Chaungtha and Ngwesaung beaches in Ayeyawady Region for the holidays of Thadingyut.
For the upcoming Thadingyut holidays, tourists who will visit Chaungtha and Ngwesaung beaches in Ayeyawady Region have registered in advance to stay at hotels and guesthouses along the beach, but almost all of the hotels and guesthouses are in a situation where there are no rooms available.
“As far as I know, the hotels are almost all full. Of course, they reserved the room. The sea-view rooms are already full. Only the back-side rooms will be left. It’s full because they reserved rooms in advance. These beaches are full of tourists every year, except for the COVID-19 pandemic period. We supervise the safety of visitors along the beach so that they can have a peaceful stay,” U Aung Thu Oo continued.
There are many people who come on a day-trip to Chaungtha and Ngwesaung beaches in the Ayeyawady Region.
The Directorate of Hotels and Tourism licensed 35 hotels and guesthouses in the Ngwehsaung area and 39 in the Chaungtha area of the Ayeyawady Region, where domestic and foreign tourists can stay.
There are 120 hotels and guesthouses licensed by the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in the region, of which 25 are temporarily closed, while the remaining hotels and guesthouses are all operating normally. — ASH/CT
