Consumers enjoy Thai grafted yellow jackfruit, sale is good in Bago

A seasonal fruit, Thai grafted yellow jackfruit has been enjoyed by many consumers and sale is good in Bago city, Bago Region, according to jackfruit growers and sellers.

The yellow jackfruit is Thai grafted species and grown in Myanmar.

“This is species grafted with Thai jackfruit. This is its season. It attracts many consumers,” said Ma Nan Thazin Kyaw from a jackfruit shop in Bago.

The yellow grafted jackfruits are mainly grown in Ye, Myeik, Mudon, Mawlamyine and Thanphyuzayat townships, and distributed across Myanmar.

The fruit peeled and packaged is sold  in boxes and the price is K3000 per kilogram.
