Correctional Department invites open tender to purchase rice for prisons in some regions and states

The Correctional Department extended an open tender for the purchase of rice for prisons in some regions and states, including the Yangon Region.
The open tender aims to buy rice for prisons and detention camps in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyawady, Magway and Taninthayi regions and Rakhine and Kachin states. A plan is underway to purchase 49,972 bags of reserved rice required for one month consumption prisoners and inmates for the financial year 2023-2024. In addition, it will purchase the ration rice—16,308 bags for Ayeyawady Region, 32,382 bags for Bago Region, 12,210 bags for Magway Region, 17,984 bags for Taninthayi Region, 9,498 bags for Rakhine State and 17,780 bags for Kachin State. — TWA/KZW
