Drug seizures in some townships

The combined team consisting of the members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force seized 120,000 stimulant tablets in a Kluger car driven by Bran Aung on Nankyin-Ingyandon road of Ingyandon (North-East) Ward of Myitkyina on 17 January.
Moreover, the police raided the house of Ma Nwe Nwe Tun in Myananda Ward of Mong Naung Village in Ma Mone Kaing Village-tract of Mohnyin Township on the same day and seized 0.35 kilo of heroin and 1,900 stimulant tablets.
The anti-narcotic agents inspected the Harrier car driven by Chan Nyein Ko at Moegyo village checkpoint in Ward (21) of PyinOoLwin Township and seized 50.5kilos of opium extract. According to the investigation, they arrested other suspects Thura Tun and Ma Thaw Thaw Sett together with a Mazda car near Yay Nge junction in Ward (11) on Lashio-PyinOoLwin road.
Similarly, the anti-narcotics officials seized 0.95 kilo of ICE in Toyota Mark II and Toyota Town Ace driven by May Thu Khine and Zaw Min Oo (aka) Star in Nanattaw street in No (8) Ward of Kamayut Township. They then raided the house of Zaw Min Oo (aka) Star in Myaynigon (North) Ward of Sangyoung Township and seized 24,000 stimulant tablets and 5.95 kilos of ICE.
Similarly, the police also raided the house of Wam Si Saw in Kone Sar Village of Htin Par Kyaing Village-tract of Laukkai Township and confiscated 176,000 stimulant tablets, 0.7 kilo of morphine and 0.39 kilo of ICE.
The police stopped the Pajero car driven by Mar Aung (aka) Tun Naing (aka) Maung Nge to examine near (301/2) milepost in Mang Kham of No (1) Ward of Namkham Township and seized 1.76 kilogrammes of heroin. The suspects were taken action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA
