The government personnel who are joining Diamond Jubilee Union Day which falls on 12 February 2022 received third shots (additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine) on 31 January at Transit Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.
There are five sites to get the booster dose and this programme is running with 10 vaccination teams at the Transit Centre. Those who have been vaccinated two times for the COVID-19 in the last six months and aged 18 are eligible for the booster dose.
Booster doses can mitigate neutralizing antibody fading and help improve the protection against the severe outcome of the COVID-19 by raising the antibody level. —MNA
