Grandeur anticipated at 2023 Myanmar Academy Award Ceremony

Preparations are underway at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I), Nay Pyi Taw, to host the 2023 Myanmar Academy Award Ceremony more elaborately and impressively than in previous years. The Ministry of Information, Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization, and Forever Group jointly organized the event at the Jade Hall of MICC I.
Organizers are setting up the Academy Award stage with Curve LEDs, preparing the Golden Academy Award Statues, and arranging for international-standard lighting and sound systems. Rehearsals are underway, involving ‘The Drive Band’ from the Myanmar Music Association, renowned vocalists and artistes, and young individuals who will assist during the ceremony.
Additional arrangements include designated areas for media interviews with actors and actresses, red carpet and photo booths for photography sessions, and interview booths for TV channels. The event will also feature Fashion Awards for the best clothing, and filming will be conducted using a variety of cameras, including Rail Cameras and Crane Cameras.
The ceremony will showcase photos of past Academy Award recipients, records of film awards from 1952 to 2022, outstanding artistes and technicians, and films staged in 2023. Award-winning performances will be presented in the Jade Hall under Curve LED lighting, with live broadcasts facilitated through TV channels using AR, crane, and PTZ cameras.
A total of 12 films have been nominated for Academy Awards, with 11 awards to be presented, including best film, best acting, and outstanding cinematographic awards, among others. — MNA/ TMT
