Human traffickers sentenced to prison for trafficking girls to China

Toungoo District Court sentenced human traffickers to 11-year imprisonment with labour each for trafficking girls to China on 20 April.
Two suspects, Daw Cho (aka) Daw Khin Mar Cho and Daw Nge (aka) Daw Khin Hnin Thet from Yesingon village, Toungoo Township of Bago Region, promised Ma …, aged 36, and Ma …, aged 21 and Ma …, aged 19 from Toungoo Township of Bago Region a well-paid job and sold to Chinese men.
The case was opened against two suspects at No. (3) Police Station of Toungoo Township under Section 24/32 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law. Then, the court handed down the sentence to 11-year imprisonment, each with a combination order, after Daw Cho (aka) Daw Khin Mar Cho and Daw Nge (aka) Daw Khin Hnin Thet were found guilty of Section 24/32 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law on 20 April. — MNA
