Illegal jade, foodstuffs, consumer goods, industrial materials and vehicles confiscated

The on-duty teams under the supervision of the Sha State Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force made inspections on 1 and 2 October and captured a Toyota Alphard car (approximately K45 million), headed to Kengtong from Mongla, carrying two kinds of goods worth K8.1 million including 60 bracelets (suspected jade) without official documents at the Wongtapin combined checkpoint in Kengtong township, two Nissan diesel trucks (estimated value of K100 million) carrying 1,490 bags of corn seeds worth K44.7 million without official documents near Panyong village in Kengtong- Mongla road and 10 kinds of goods worth K44.035 million including 800 sets of OKK E-cigarette device and eight Cylinder heads (car parts) that were piled up by the side of the road over the Sinphyu checkpoint in Muse township. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
On 2 October, the combined teams seized a I- Zone vehicle (estimated value of K35 million), travelling from Myawady to Yangon, carrying 500 sets of rice cookers and 10,360 kilogrammes of vintage (raw materials) worth K40.9 million near Nonglong Valley by Hpa-an detour, two Nissan Diesel tractor heads with two trailers (approximately K120 million), headed to Yangon from Myaway, carrying 19,708 kilogrammes of corrugating medium paper that exceeded the Import Declaration (ID) near Famous fuel filling station in Phayagyi. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
A combined team impounded a Scania tractor head with a trailer (approximately K56 million) carrying four kinds of goods worth K10,927,500 including 1,475 kilogrammes of spring pin that exceeded the ID at the Milepost 23/5 on Muse- Mandalay road and a Mitsubishi truck (approximately K28 million), headed to Mandalay from Yangon, carrying two kinds of goods worth K15.6 million including 4,800 lady clothes without official documents near the outskirt of Myitnge township on 2 October. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
The Customs on-duty teams confiscated five kinds of goods worth K44.83 million including 10,000 kilogrammes of sword bloodstone and 3,500 kilogrammes of pliers that were not declared in the ID from three containers at the Myanmar Industrial Port, two kinds of goods worth K11.718 million including 2,715 kilogrammes of Calcium extreme pressure grease that were not declared in the ID from a container at the Thilawa container checkpoint, a Mitsubishi Fuso truck (estimated value of K25 million), headed to Yangon from Myawady, carrying 5,500 kilogrammes of Hose pipe worth K5,659,500 that exceeded the ID at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and 19,500 pairs of sandal for rainy season worth K4.8 million that exceeded the ID from a vehicle at the Myawady Trade Zone.
