ME assists Myanmar victim killed in Thai mall shooting

The Myanmar Embassy made necessary arrangements to assist the deceased Myanmar woman, a victim of the shooting incident at the shopping mall in Bangkok, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The victim, Daw Moe Myint, 31, from Thaton Township who worked at Take Toys Co Ltd died when a gunman opened fire at Siam Paragon Shopping Mall on 3 October.
Myanmar Ambassador and Labour Attaché met with the employer of the victim and Police Colonel of Pathuwan station on 4 October and discussed matters related to the funeral and cash assistance.
The embassy contacted the mother of the victim living in Thaton Township and arranged a funeral occasion at Chang Wattana monastery on 8 October as per the wishes of family members. The embassy also works closely with Thai authorities and will provide the needed assistance. — ASH/KTZH
