K 760 million worth of illegal drugs seized in Tachilek Township

Four suspects were arrested together with stimulant tablets and 10 kilos of Ketamine in Tachilek Township on 19 January.

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force seized narcotic drugs worth K760 million from four persons in Tachilek Township, Shan State (East).
A total of 100,000 stimulant tablets, 10 kilos of Ketamine from the motorcycle driven by Sai Oum (a) Aik Oum were seized on 19 January near Parkhok village in Tachilek Township, Shan State (East) when the police searched his motorcycle according to the report.
The investigation led to the house of Yein and Ma Nang Ein in Namluk (Shan) village where 1.6 million stimulant tablets were confiscated, and the police also arrested Aik Si Yun (a) Aik Kyaing at his house in Pakhok village.
It is reported that action is being taken against four of them under the law, and the related suspects in seizing 1.7 million stimulant tablets and 10 kilos of Ketamine worth over K760 million will be identified and prosecuted, according to the Myanmar Police Force.—MNA
