K300 million worth of stimulant tablets captured in Waw township

A total of K300 million worth of stimulant tablets was captured in Waw township, Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force seized a total of 200,000 stimulant tablets worth K300 million that were hidden in tomato boxes from a Taunggyi-Myawady passenger bus on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road near Nyaungkhashay village in Waw township at 10 am on 12 September.
The police force arrested Saw Lin Htein (aka) Kyaw Kyaw, the owner of the seized drugs, together with a Toyota Ipsum car in the Seinlaemyaing highway bus terminal in Myawady township at noon on 13 September.
Police have taken legal action against offenders and an investigation is underway to identify perpetrators of the crime chain. — MNA/MKKS
