Licences granted to over 400 new private health services, including 275 hospitals

According to the Central Committee on Private Healthcare Services, licences have been issued to over 400 new private health services, including 275 private hospitals.
As of 31 December 2023, the central committee has granted licences for 275 private hospitals, 40 maternity clinics, 73 specialized laboratories, 17 special x-ray facilities, 20 healthcare services, and 18 general healthcare services.
Moreover, to enhance the private healthcare service industry, kidney blood purification and kidney transplant treatments are permitted in alignment with the country’s health policy. The Union Minister for Health emphasized the crucial role of private hospitals and clinics in medical treatment, underscoring the need to expedite the licensing process for private hospitals and clinics while ensuring strict compliance with rules and regulations. — TWA/TKO
