Malika express vessels resume Sittway-Rathedaung-Buthidaung route

Malika Express vessels suspended beginning from 22 August 2020 due to the pandemic resumed Sittway-Rathedaung-Buthidaung route regularly starting from March.

On 2 March, the express vessels operated the Sittway-Rathedaung-Buthidaung route beginning from 7 am with 13 passengers. The ships reached the jetties in Buthidaung Township at noon. On 3 March, the vessels run the same course on the same schedules with 45 passengers. The Township Health Department conducted medical examinations on the passengers as per the COVID-19 guidelines.

The express vessels operating on Buthidaung-Rathedaung-Sittway routes were suspended on account of COVID-19. Now, the ships are running, as usual, effective 2 March. —Hla Kyaw (IPRD)/GNLM
