Mawlamyine-Yangon and Kawthoung-Mawlamyine flights resume

Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) resumed its domestic flights from Mawlamyine to Yangon and from Kawthoung to Mawlamyine on 5 December after the Mawlamyine-Yangon flight was suspended on 28 May 2021.
The flights will run on Mondays and Fridays. Local people have to pay K147,000 and foreigners have to pay US$120 for the Mawlamyine-Yangon flight. Locals will pay K177,000 for the Kawthoung-Mawlamyine trip. At present, there is only the Yangon-Kawthoung-Mawlamyine-Yangon flight and no flight between Yangon and Mawlamyine yet.
Passengers must show their citizenship scrutiny cards and Covid-19 vaccination certificate to buy flight tickets, according to an official of MNA. — Sithu (IPRD)/MKKS
