ASEAN Plus Counter-Terrorism Experts’ Working Group ADMM-Plus EWG on CT held

The second Middle Planning Conference of the ASEAN Plus Counter-Terrorism Expert Working Group, which is co-chaired by Myanmar and Russia, was hosted by Myanmar through video teleconferencing (VTC) from 6 to 7 December.
At the meeting, Maj-Gen Aung Myo Thant of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, who is the co-chairman of the ASEAN Plus Counter-Terrorism Expert Working Group, and Vice-Admiral Berezovsky D.V., the co-chairman from Russia, delivered opening remarks.
To cooperate with the ASEAN Plus Counter-Terrorism Expert Working Group, ASEAN countries and dialogue parties had a friendly and open exchange of views.
Representatives from ASEAN member countries and officials from Russia, China, India and the ASEAN Secretariat participated in the discussion.
Myanmar and Russia are making efforts as the alternate chairpersons of the ASEAN Plus Counter-Terrorism Experts’ Working Group from 2021 to 2023 in order to cooperate in regional counter-terrorism measures. — MNA/KZL
