The trekking season of Mount Taungwine, which attracted a lot of interest, ended on 25 February.
“As this is the last week of the trekking season, we planned to walk the trekking path to Mt Taungwine. After this weekend, the trekking season will end,” said the Sasana Nwe Foundation.
Starting on 2 December 2023, Mt Taungwine trekking season attracted many pilgrims from other states and regions in addition to locals, and there were more trekkers among visitors on the weekend, said the residents.
The trekking season starts in December and ends in February every year for those who want to hike for health and those who like to take a pilgrimage tour. For safety reasons, the trekking time this year was reportedly set from 6 am to 6 pm, and a free parking lot was provided from 4:30 am to 8 am. — MT/ZN/ED
