Khit Thit, a malicious news media, has created false news about the killing of 11 people from villages in Taze Township, the burning of 56 houses from nine villages, and the taking of public property by security forces. It is also spreading propaganda on social media to mislead the public.
A security official from Taze Township said that the news that the security forces killed 11 people, burned down houses, and took away public property is untrue.
PDF terrorists have been carrying out acts of terror to disrupt law and peace in Taze Township. They attacked the local police station in Kanhtooma village and burned down houses and the local police station on 21 February.
In addition, terrorist groups attacked security forces operating in the area with heavy weapons and drones on 23, 24, 29 February and 4 March. Thus, the security forces retaliated with heavy weapons and airstrikes, causing terrorists to retreat and flee with many casualties.
The security forces are working together with the local people to ensure peace and stability in the area. — MNA/KZL
