MoBA’s English Proficiency Course 1/2023 successfully winds up

The Ministry of Border Affairs (MoBA) hosted the graduation ceremony for the English Proficiency Course 1/2023 yesterday morning at the ministry’s assembly hall. The course aimed to enhance the efficiency of staff in the minister’s office and various departments.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the permanent secretary, directors-general, the deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general, assistant secretaries/directors, personnel, facilitators, and trainees.
During a round table discussion, the Union Minister and attendees observed English proficiency of the trainees. Following this, the Union Minister encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge gained during the course in their respective roles. Emphasizing the importance of contributing to the ministry’s objectives, he urged them to pass on the gift of education and strive to become exemplary civil servants for the country’s development.
U Than Swe, instructor of the English Proficiency Course, presented the progress and improvement of trainees in English skills. He presented certificates to outstanding trainees, recognizing their dedication and achievements throughout the 10-week systematic course. Weekly evaluations conducted by officials and instructor ensured a consistent assessment of the participants’ English language proficiency. — MNA/TS
