MoEP Deputy Minister inspects reinstallation of electricity cables

The re-erection and reinstallation of electricity poles and power cables underway in Sittway.

Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw and officials inspected the repair of power substations and maintenance of power cables damaged by Mocha in Sittway township on 19 May.
Firstly, the deputy minister inspected the reinstallation of township power distribution cables along the Mayyu main road and near General Hospital on strand road, the switch yard and control room of the 66/11 kV substation 1, staff housing and the arrival of power cables and related items from Nay Pyi Taw and Magway region to Sittway.
In addition, the deputy minister inspected the damage of related things in the 66/11 kV Satyokya substation and the reinstallation of damaged towers at the 66 kV power cables that are distributed to Sittway.
Electricians and skilled staff from the Ministry of Electric Power are making efforts to reinstall 14 collapsed towers of the 230 kV An-MraukU-Ponnagyun National Grid in order to restore electricity in Rakhine State. — MNA/MKKS
