Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung inspected the greening and beautifying works of hotels in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday.
Then, the Union Minister met general managers and officials of hotels in Nay Pyi Taw at Jasmine Nay Pyi Taw Hotel.
During the meeting, the Union minister said Nay Pyi Taw is stated as the capital city of the country, an administrative city in the Constitution. Therefore, the hotel zones including the recreational sites, tourist destinations, proper transportation and water systems are established in line with city characteristics. There are also opportunities to attract tourists as the city possesses international airport.
Moreover, the hoteliers should participate in shaping Nay Pyi Taw into Green City, Clean City and Smart City. Similarly, the Maravijaya Buddha image is being constructed and the number of local/foreign travellers to Nay Pyi Taw will increase and so the hotels should prepare to offer better services.
