MoHT Union Minister meets civil servants who study in Russian Federation

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung met the civil servants from ministries who studied in the Russian Federation at Nila hall of the ministry for the second time online yesterday morning.
In the meeting, the Union minister expressed that although Myanmar and Russia are geographically far apart if airlines can fly, it would be a great support for more Russian tourists to visit. To make the Russian people more aware of Myanmar’s destinations, the ministry is working to promote and advertise in Russia’s Ural Airlines in-flight magazine. In addition, the ministry and private associations are planning to participate in the tourism exhibitions to be held in Russia. He also mentioned help and advice on the plans to be carried out to promote the tourism market.
Then, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attendees from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Defence reported on cooperation plans of respective ministries, opening of Russian language courses and advice to support the convenient trip of Russian tourists.
Finally, the directors-general of respective ministries reported on the two countries’ tourism cooperation and plans to continue. And the Union minister discussed the recommendations back. — MNA
