The mobile library lent books yesterday to the General Administration Department, the Ministry of Planning and Finance and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.
Under the motto “Read in your spare time”, the mobile library, with a total of 6,600 books, is designed to make it easier for staff to read and study books in their spare time, lending books to a total of 26 departments— 24 ministries and 2 departments —every two weeks to keep them in touch with literature.
“There were rare book stores that were lending books in Nay Pyi Taw, so we had to buy the books we really liked. Now, due to this mobile library, we have a chance to read various kinds of books,” a book borrower from the General Administration Department said.
The Department of Information and Public Relations has sent three iron bookshelves and 300 books to eight ministries and one department office for staff to read and study and arranged to exchange books every three months. —MNA
