MoIP UM receives UNFPA Resident Representative to Myanmar

UNFPA Resident Representative Mr Ramanathan Balakrishanan calls on Union Minister U Myint Kyaing yesterday.

U Myint Kyaing, Union Minister for Immigration and Population, received a delegation led by Mr Ramanathan Balakrishnan, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Resident Representative to Myanmar, at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They cordially discussed issues related to population and development negotiated last July on the dialogue between the ministry and the UNFPA resident representative, the ministry’s review and action on the UNFPA headquarters’ response regarding the issue of population home census, the ministry’s response to the submission of a list of names for the appointment of UNFPA’s new resident representative to Myanmar and the tradition of long-term cooperation between the ministry and UNFPA in Myanmar’s population and development issues. — MNA/KZL
