Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun inspected progress of Gaungsaygyun jetty in Mandalay Ward of Mawlamyine yesterday. The jetty construction aims to enable pilgrims from various regions to visit historical Gaungsaygyun pagoda with smooth transportation.
At the construction site, an official of the jetty construction reported on Gaungsaygyun jetty and bailey bridge. After hearing the reports, the chief minister gave instruction for long-term existence of the jetty meeting set standards.
The pilgrims and local people from Kawttun, Kawtsein and Kawtpauk village-tracts of Mawlamyine Township can use the jetty.—State IPRD/KZL
