MWAF, MMCWA and social associations collaborate on Covid awareness talk

The Mon State chief minister meets the staff of the Myanma Railways at the Mawlamyine Railway Station yesterday.

Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun and state ministers watched and supported the awareness talk programme for the protection and control of COVID-19 disease, and the mask campaign that offered free face masks which were being carried out by state officials, the Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation-MWAF, the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association-MMCWA and social organizations at the Mawlamyine Railway Station in Myaynigon Ward, Mawlamyine yesterday morning.
Next, the chief minister met officials from Myanma Railways (Transport Division 8) and gave necessary instructions on providing a smooth travel experience for passengers, ensuring that the stations comply with the COVID-19 health rules, undertaking the processes for the cleanliness of the station premises inside out, and running the train trips.
Afterwards, the chief minister and party encouraged the collective blood donation event executed by police officers from Mon State Police Force to hail the 58th Myanmar Police Force Day, which will fall on 1 October 2022, at the Mawlamyine People’s Hospital. Participating donors then have been provided with tonics, eggs and nutritional supplements.
Similarly, the chief minister comforted patients who receive medical treatments at the Mawlamyine People Hospital and fulfilled their further needs, it is learnt. — MNA
