According to Myanma Railways, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has increased the numbers of operation of Yangon circular train starting 7 May.
“The train passengers increase on all trips like on the circular train and for long trips. Therefore, the officials increase the numbers of Yangon circular trains in two shifts –morning and evening. Almost all businesses in Yangon resumed in Yangon, and the upgrade of railways for circular trains is also completed, and so there are no difficulties in such operation,” said an official of MR.
The ticket fee is K100 and only K200 for a round trip.
“It is very convenient for running in two shifts. I go to work daily from Insein. And so, only the circular train is the most convenient transportation mode for me. It does not cost a lot and take much time,” said commuter Ko Thet Lwin.
