Security forces arrest owners of weapons to be used in terrorist attacks

Security forces have been arresting owners of the weapons and equipment to be used in terrorist attacks across the country.
On 6 May, two men were arrested together with two homemade guns, six knives and materials used in riots in Delpote village, Ingapu Township, Ayeyawady Region. One man was also arrested with one air gun, two bows, seven arrows and bullets, shells, homemade mines and related equipment in Nirlun village in Haka Township, Chin State. Another person was also detained with one knife in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region.
Similarly, a total of five men were arrested with four homemade guns, one homemade gas gun, one smoke bomb and materials used in riots in Shwepyitha ward in Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region yesterday morning.
The security forces also found and confiscated 61 plastic shields, 45 iron shields, 7 shields and 6 fibre helmet from the warehouse beside the Mahamyatmuni chamber in Myeik.
It is reported that actions will be taken against the owners of the weapons to be used in terrorist attacks and those who transport them under the law. — MNA
