Myanmar clinches numerous awards at international photo competition

U Kyaw Kyaw Win, Secretary of the Myanmar Photography Association, reported that Myanmar achieved significant success at the Myanmar International Photo Circuit 2024, an online photography competition jointly organized by Myanmar, Chile, and Bangladesh.
“A total of 170 contestants from three countries participated in the event, submitting a total of 1,996 photos for consideration. Among these, 48 contestants represented Myanmar, submitting 559 photos. Myanmar garnered a total of 1,156 awards, a result that brings us great joy,” said U Kyaw Kyaw Win.
Myanmar contestants took part in the Agile Photographic Society (APS), Foto Cine Club Valparaíso (FCCV), and Myanmar Photographic Society (MPS) categories. In the APS salon, Myanmar secured two gold medals from FIAP, four gold medals from APS, two FIAP Ribbon awards, two APS Ribbon awards, 38 honourable mentions, and 440 acceptance awards.
Similarly, in the FCCV salons, Myanmar contestants achieved two FIAP gold medals, two APS Ribbon awards, 20 honourable mentions, and 314 acceptance awards. In the MPS salon, Myanmar won six gold medals, six silver medals, six FIAP gold medals, four FIAP ribbon awards, 30 honourable mentions, and 318 acceptance awards.
The competition commenced on 26 March, with submissions being scrutinized on 8 April. The list of winners was announced on 11 May. — ASH/TMT
