Myanmar exports 650 visses of Shatavari root to Korea this FY

In 2023-2024FY, the Southeast Asian country exported 650 visses of Shatavari root to Busan, South Korea in July.

Myanmar has launched a new export item Shatavari root to South Korea exporting 650 visses in July of this FY, according to Myanmar Green Farm Company in Taungoo of Bago Region.
The country has a demand for raw materials of traditional medicine such as villous amomum, screw pine, Menispermum and other herbal roots from Korea. During this FY, Korea purchases Shatavari from Myanmar.
In 2023-2024FY, the Southeast Asian country exported 650 visses of Shatavari root to Busan, South Korea in July. The Shatavari root is bought from the western parts of the Thagara and Swa regions of Yedashe Township of Bago Region and Shan State (South) and exported them to Korea.
The wet Shatavari root is priced at K700-K1000 per viss. Six visses of wet Shatavari root is equal to one viss of dried Shatavari root. — ASH/KTZH
