S Korea provides firefighting PPEs to Myanmar

The Republic of Korea provided firefighting personal protective equipment, including jackets, helmets, gloves, and boots, to Myanmar at the opening ceremony of the Gyeonggi-do Firefighting Equipment Logistics Centre in Gyeonggi-do Province, Republic of Korea, on 24 April, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the opening ceremony of the Gyeonggi-do Firefighting Equipment Logistics Centre in Gyeonggi-do Province, firefighting suits were provided to both Myanmar and Sri Lanka. U Thant Sin, Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, attended the ceremony and expressed his gratitude.
The centre is the first centre in the Gyeonggi-do Province of the Republic of Korea to store emergency firefighting suits. A total of 368 sets of uniforms, 64 helmets, 78 pairs of gloves, and 76 pairs of boots will be provided to the Fire Services Department through the FLCM Foundation in Korea.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman Mr AhnKyeil of Gyeonggi-do State Parliament Security and Public Administration Committee, Secretary Mr Yoo Gyunghyun of Gyeonggi-do State Parliament Security and Public Administration Committee, Chief Mr Ji Jun Ho of the Bucheon City Fire Department, FLCM Foundation Chairman Mr Kim Sung Chor and invitees. — ASH/MKKS
