Myanmar MoH delegation leaves for Bangladesh

Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win seen before departing for Bangladesh yesterday.

At the invitation of the Bangladeshi Government, a Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, left Yangon for Bangladesh yesterday morning to attend the International Conference on Public Health and Diplomacy, which will be held on 11 and 12 July in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Union minister and delegation were seen off by Mr A S M Sayem, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Bangladeshi Embassy and officials, and departmental officials from the Ministry of Health at the Yangon International Airport.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ministers of Health, deputy ministers, secretaries and international public health experts from the Southeast Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Thailand, Maldives, Nepal and the World Health Organization will attend the conference. — MNA/TS
