Myanmar officials warmly welcome returnees in respective land borders

Myanmar officials have been welcoming the returnees repatriated from abroad at respective border crossings.
On 27 September, 109 Myanmar nationals (56 men and 53 women) returned to Muse, northern Shan State; 22 people (16 men and 6 women) to Chinshwehaw and 50 people (34 men and 16 women) to Laukkai, respectively.
Yesterday, officials received 199 men and 172 women who were repatriated to Myawady, Kayin State.
Healthcare professionals and members of the Tatmadaw medical team carried out the COVID-19 tests, provided documents required for quarantine, and explained the instructions of the Ministry of Health. Officials from the respective military commands and departments also provided necessary assistance.
The returnees were transported to their respective homes by bus arranged by the township administration bodies, and those diagnosed with COVID-19 disease were sent to quarantine centres to provide the necessary medical and administration support. — MNA
