Myanmar Saemaul Geumgo launches online training

The Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, along with the Korean Saemaul Geumgo Federation, jointly implements the Myanmar Saemaul Geumgo (village treasury) project.
The aim is to improve the living standards of rural people by systematically collecting a pool of money, practising financial management, and using capital alternately for rural development and enhancing the living standard of rural communities.
The Myanmar Saemaul Geumgo Online Training Course 1/2023 was inaugurated at the Agricultural Education and Rural Development Centre in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday. The course will run for three days, from 4 to 6 December, with 75 participants. Currently, there are 35 village treasuries actively working towards rural development and the socio-economic enhancement of rural communities. — MNA/TRKM
