A Myanmar dried tea leave brand has won a gold medal in a tea expo in China, according to Myanmar Tea Association

Member companies of the association took part in the Global Tea Fair Shenzhen (Autumn), with over 4700 international booths, held from 21 to 25 December in Shenzhen, China.

With the help of Bio-trade Project, seven booths representing Myanmar showcased varieties of Myanmar tea from member businesses with the aim of exhibiting Myannmar tea culture.

“U Maung Lwin from TGT Tea Co., Ltd., a member of our associatio, won the gold medal in the traditional tea competitive held at Shenzhen fair,” the association said.

This is the third time that Jade Leaf of TGT Tea has won the gold medal and this year award is the special gold prize equivalent to five stars. – Thit Taw/ZN
