Myanmar to present 2 films to ASEAN-Pretoria Film Festival

Two films from Myanmar will be screened at the ASEAN-Pretoria Film Festival in South Africa, which will be held in October and November, according to U Chan Thar Kyi Soe, Information Officer of International Communications and Public Relations from the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization.
Myanmar was invited to participate in the ASEAN-Pretoria Film Festival on September 20th, and Myanmar films such as “Upadan” and “3(a)” will be screened at the festival.
“When we invited the film companies, they sent only these two films because there were not many producers who wanted to have their films screened. The film festival will be held in October and November. It is a film festival organized by ASEAN and embassies as a cultural exchange,” said U Chan Thar Kyi Soe.
Myanmar films that will be screened at the ASEAN-Pretoria Film Festival have already received censor approval. The films must have English subtitles, and the screening time must not exceed two hours. — ASH/ MKKS
