Steering Committee gathers for NCA 8th anniversary celebration planning

The National Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) 8th Anniversary Celebration Steering Committee convened a meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The coordination meeting brought together high-ranking officials, including Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Chairman of the NCA Annual Ceremony Steering Committee and Union Minister for Home Affairs, Lt-Gen Min Naing, Secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, committee members, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries from ministries involved in the steering committee, directors-general, and responsible officials.
During the meeting, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, as the Chairman of the Steering Committee, elucidated the policy surrounding the forthcoming NCA 8th anniversary celebration. He emphasized the importance of planning and executing the event in a practical and meaningful manner.
Following this, Lt-Gen Min Naing, Secretary of the Steering Committee for the NCA Anniversary Celebration, presented the event’s procedural aspects. Lt-Gen Aye Win, Chairman of the Coordinating Work Committee, invited participants to engage in coordinating recording and photographic activities. Additionally, Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, Chairman of the Working Committee, outlined the necessary procedures for making the event a success.
Deputy ministers from various ministries shared insights into the processes to be undertaken by their respective work committees, fostering an open discussion on essential matters.
In conclusion, Committee Chair Lt-Gen Yar Pyae summarized the discussions and presentations. The meeting was adjourned with plans in motion for a grand and meaningful NCA 8th anniversary celebration scheduled for 15 October 2023. — MNA/TS
