Myanmar U-23 team to play friendlies before international tourney

The Myanmar U-23 football team will play friendly matches in preparation for the ASEAN U-23 Championship 2023, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.With 37 preliminary squads, team Myanmar prepared their best starting on 6 August. Myanmar’s youth team will play a friendly match against Yangon United today at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. After the game, 23 players will be shortlisted ahead of the international tournament.
Team Myanmar will leave for Thailand to compete in the ASEAN football tourney on 12 August. Michael Feichtenbeiner, a German citizen, is managing the Myanmar U-23 team as the head coach, and the team is preparing for three international tournaments, including the ASEAN U-23 tournament.
Myanmar is placed in the same group as host Thailand, Cambodia and Brunei in the ASEAN tourney. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
