Myanmar Volleyball team face loss in 5th place match

The semifinals and fifth-place match of the 31st SEA Games National Volleyball Championship were held on 20 May.
The Myanmar team lost to the Philippines 3-2 in the 5th place match. The Myanmar team missed out on the semifinals after finishing third in the group stage and only played for the fifth place. Myanmar and the Philippines have struggled for fifth place and have played five full matches.
In the first match, the Philippines team won with 26-24 points, but in the second match, the Myanmar team won with 25-22 points.
In the third match, the Philippines team won by 25-22 points, but the Myanmar team won again in the fourth match with 29-27 points.
The fifth match was decisive, with the Philippines winning 16-14 and finishing fifth, while Myanmar finished sixth. In the semifinals, Indonesia beat Cambodia 3-1 and host Viet Nam beat Thailand 3-2 to reach the finals. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
