Myanmar’s playoff hopes dashed in 0-4 loss to Thailand

A semifinal dream of Myanmar men’s national football team has been decimated after a big 0-4 defeat to Thailand at the third group match of the Suzuki Cup at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore yesterday.
Myanmar’s head coach Antoine Hey made a line-up with his favourite boys, including Myo Min Latt (GK), David Htan, Win Moe Kyaw, Hein Phyo Win, Hlaing Bobo, Maung Maung Lwin, Lwin Moe Aung and Than Paing.
Thailand invaded the game from the start. After 20 minutes, the Thai made more shinning tactics, bringing with a goal up to lead in the 23rd minute. Teerasil touched the ball into the net beautifully.
At the end of the first half, Thailand led Myanmar 1-0 with 11-3 shots on target and 4-0 on target.
Thailand came to get a penalty in the early minute of the second half. Teerasil was responsible for the kick and Thailand led 2-0 in the 53rd minute.
In 76 minutes, substituted Worachit Kanitsribamphen received an open ball from Supachok Sarachat, a single stroke of tungsten net, leaving Thailand 3-0 away.
Again, Supachok Sarachat shot close for Thailand to defeat Myanmar 4-0 at 90+2 minutes, collecting six full points from 2 matches, but Myanmar is out of the tourney with just three points earned. — GNLM
