Over 10 mln gallons of fuel oil unloaded at terminals of Thilawa Port

Oil tankers carrying over 10 million gallons of fuel oil docked at Thilawa Port and the fuel oil unloading process is being undertaken, according to the Supervisory Committee on Oil Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil.
Over 2.34 million gallons of Octane 92, nearly 5 million gallons of diesel and over 3.6 million gallons of premium diesel were unloaded from the ships at the terminals of Thilawa Port.
As of 16 October, there is self-sufficiency of fuel oil depending on the inventory at Thilawa’s oil tanks and distribution conditions. The prices of fuel oil are stable this week while the global oil prices slide, according to the association.
On 20 October, the oil prices stood at K1,935 per litre of Octane 92, K2,000 per litre of Octane 95, K2,600 per litre of diesel and K2,685 per litre of premium diesel.
On 17 October, 0.44 million gallons of gasoline and 5.5 million gallons of diesel were removed from two ships. Furthermore, the oil tanker carrying nearly six million gallons docked at the terminal of Thilawa Port, as per the committee’s statement. — TWA/GNLM
