Over 120,000 students take 2024 matriculation exam debut

As the new system of matriculation examination for 2024 commenced yesterday morning, a total of 128,801 students sat for the Myanmar language subject across the nation including foreign exam centres.

This year, a total of 841 exam centres including 11 overseas exam centres and 830 more centres at home are opened for the students. A total of 146,532 students enlisted to join the examination. For the first day, 128,801 students sat for the Myanmar language subject with 17,722 absentees. The Ministry of Educated stated that number of students sitting for the examination accounted for 87.90 per cent. — MNA/TTA
