Over 30,000 people vaccinated with 1st dose of COVID jab in Kyaikto

The second batch (first dose) of COVID-19 Infectious Disease vaccines have been administered to the people in Kyaikto Township starting 15 September.
U Myo Min Soe, Chairman of Township Administration Body and members, Dr Khun Maung Oh Head of Township Public Health Department, officials from Township-level departments from Kyu Chaung Village, Bo Yar Gyi Village, Kyaikkatha Village, Sittoung Village and Kim Mon Chaung village in Thein Zayat Town assisted in the vaccination programme.
Vaccinations were given to volunteers, monks and nuns, people over the age of 18, including civil servants and private healthcare workers, bank employees, industrialists and workers, hotels, motels, and guesthouses employers and staff, workers in the transport industry, vendors, waiters and waitresses and handicapped person, officials said.
The vaccination programmes were launched between 15 to 29 September and a total of 30,990 people were vaccinated in the township, officials added. — Win Maung (Kyaikto)/GNLM
