The region has more than 93 per cent of the COVID-19 vaccine coverage and measures will be continued for the target groups, said Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win during the virtual meeting of the Region COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee (9/2022) held on 6 May.
The chief minister also said the officials will contact the relevant township officers for the remaining people, who are out of the regional areas and still do not receive the vaccines, to reduce the number of people who do not receive the vaccines in the region.
Then, the chairmen of district and township administration bodies reported on the vaccination programmes and other relevant officials including the Commander of Southern Command discussed the vaccination processes and the participation of Tatmadaw medics in the processes. —MNA
