Over K1 bln worth of heroin blocks captured in Yaksawk township

More than 68.25 kilogrammes of heroin blocks worth over K1 billion were captured in Yaksawk township in Shan State (south), the Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force stopped and searched a Prado auto driven by Yi Wai Maung accompanied by San Tin and a Toyota Hilux auto driven by Tin Hlaing heading to Yaksawk from Intaw at the combined checkpoint at 11:30 am on 22 May and captured a total of 68.25 kilogrammes of 195 blocks of heroin worth over K1 billion that was to be carried from Mongyai township in Shan State (North) to Pekhon township in Shan State (South).
The police have taken legal action against the offenders and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the crime chain. — MNA/MKKS
